Jonathan is a wireless specialist, focusing on the technology, marketing, business development and product commercialization of broadband wireless products.Jonathan has 20 years of experience in the wireless backhaul and access markets. He also has considerable regulatory experience, working with FCC, ETSI, CEPT, and numerous wireless standards' bodies and regulators around the world. Jonathan was responsible for setting up the regulatory framework which opened up the 71-76 GHz and 81-86 GHz e-band frequencies in Europe and many other countries around the globe.He has held a variety of technical and managerial roles in a number of countries around the world.
Jonathan holds a BSc in physics, a PhD in millimeter-wave electronics and an MBA with specialization in strategic R&D management.He is a graduate of the AeA/Stanford Executive Institute, a School Senior Member of the IEEE, a member of the Consultants' Network of Silicon Valley, and co-chair of CNSV's Intellectual Property Special Interest Group. Jonathan has previously been a member of the WCA's 40+ GHz Spectrum Development Committee and the Cal Poly Electrical Engineering Industrial Advisory Committee.
Prof. Andrea Martinez-Wells, Vice President
Andrea is an English / Spanish linguist with extensive language experience gained through living and working in three continents. She specializes in commercial, legal and technical translations, focusing on both the telecommunications and educational fields. Prior to becoming a language consultant, Andrea had several years of marketing, customer service and teaching experience.
Andrea graduated from the University of Cordoba, Argentina as a Certified Public Translator; a degree widely regarded as the premier translation qualification in South America. She also has a teaching degree for both English and Spanish languages. Andrea completed post-graduate study at Harvard University and recently graduated from a Hispanic Leadership Development Program. Andrea has been a board member for the Northern Californian Translators Association and the United Way of Rochester.
